I’m sure you’ll be comforted to know that we’re always tinkering here in Rosco Fine Arts Land, never satisfied with the status quo — unless the status quo includes watching a good movie or eating pizza. Which it doesn’t, at least not often enough.
Given that the last few weeks have seen a lamentable dearth of good movies and pizza, I’ve been making some pretty major changes to this website, which you’ll likely have noticed if you’ve visited more than once.
The Photography page, which was previously updated to link out to a pile (bunch? truckload? shit ton?) of different portfolios, now also includes links to my new Virtual Gallery Shows — each of which provides me an opportunity to explore a particular artistic idea in depth. The first of these, the Elfin Forest show, offers trippy visions of the twisty, occasionally spooky pygmy oak forest near my home. The image above, titled To understand recursion you must first understand recursion, is a picture from that show.
The second show, Boats in Fog (image below), is a mostly black and white study of vessels moored in nearby Morro Bay on a recent foggy morning.

Elsewhere on the site, you may also notice there is a new page on How to Buy my work. If you’ve found yourself fancying one of the images on the site on a previous visit, and wondered how you could have it on your very own wall, wonder no more; it’s all there in white digital print. If you want, you can even order (some) images as originals: pictures that are sold to you and only you, just like an original painting or sculpture.
Whew! I’m tinkered out.
Hopefully Netflix has something new to watch this weekend.
